A study of 123 supportive housing developments found that property values within 500 feet did not drop when a development opened, and grew steadily relative to other properties in the neighborhood. Only very large developments showed localized crime effects; small ones did not.
Washington's own research institute found that people who received housing vouchers on release were less likely to experience homelessness, more likely to find work and earn more from it, and less likely to be rearrested.
A good neighbor agreement, in writing
